San Diego Mesa College sophomore Marlene Lopez is awarded the 2022 PCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year. Lopez and the Olympians will face San Bernardino Valley College tomorrow in the first round of the CCCAA women's soccer playoffs.
After finishing the 2022 campaign with a 10-7-2 record, the SD Mesa women’s soccer team have qualified as the 16th seed for the 2022 CCCAA Women’s Soccer Championships.
Despite several injuries on the team, the San Diego Mesa women’s soccer team continue to play well bringing their overall record at 8-4-1 and 7-2 in the conference.
Although the San Diego Mesa College women’s soccer team fell short in their season opener, losing 0-3 to Long Beach City College, the Olympians recently rebounded with a 1-1 tie against Saddleback College.
San Diego, CA – Our 2021 Women’s Soccer team was awarded PCAC All-Conference, PCAC Player of the Year, PCAC Defender of the Year, and PCAC Women’s Coach of the Year.
Women’s Soccer has been seeded #5 in the South for the CCCAA Championship. San Diego Mesa College will be hosting SD Mesa vs. College of the Canyons, November 20th at 2pm.
For the 7th time in the past 8 years, the San Diego Mesa Women's Soccer team has captured the PCAC conference championship. The team went undefeated in league play with a record of 12-0-1 and amassed 54 goals and only gave up 6 goals in conference play.
Offensively, the team was lead by Audrey Reed who had 19 goals and 3 assists in conference play, good for 41 points. Valeria Vargas was second on the team with 12 goals and 8 assists, good for 32 points.
The Defense was lead by a solid back line of Ashley Melgar, Kassandra Ortiz, Stephanie Demarchi, Cydney Garcia and Kamryn Correll. Goalkeeper, Megan Graffman only surrendered 6 goals in conference play.
Post season awards will come out on Monday, Playoff seeding and information will come out Tuesday.

7-2-1. San Diego Mesa Women’s Soccer is tied for 1st with San Diego City College, who is also 6-1, in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.
Congratulations to Todd Curran, head coach of San Diego Mesa College women’s soccer team, for being awarded the title of PCAC Women’s Coach of the Year. This award was voted on by the Athletic Directors throughout Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. Curran also received the San Diego Mesa College’s Coach of the Year award.
San Diego Mesa’s athletic department placed 9th in the Daktronics Cup (formerly known as NATYCAA Cup) for the 2019-20 calendar year. This 9th place ranking is out of 108 other 2 year programs. The Daktronics Cup measures the top 5 finishes in each gender, awarding points depending on their final ranking.
The San Diego Mesa College, Coach of the Year award is based on peer nominations and voting among all the head coaches in our athletic department. This year the Coach of the Year award is being award to the Head Coach of Women’s Soccer, Todd Curran.
Throughout the 2019 women’s soccer season, the San Diego Mesa College women’s soccer team in most part dominated their opponent. In November, prior to last night’s quarterfinal game against Citrus College, the Olympians have only surrendered one goal.
The fall sports are nearing the halfway point and with most of the programs deep into Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play it's time to name the Athletes-of-the-Month for September. Athletes from San Diego Mesa College, Palomar College, MiraCosta College and Grossmont College all were chosen for the month of September.
Before the start of the 2019 women’s soccer campaign, head coach Todd Curran explained that in order replicate past years success, we had to stay healthy and must be playing solid soccer in October.
RIVERSIDE - In the first California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) women’s soccer poll of the 2019 season, it is Fresno City that takes over the top spot by a sizable amount of votes. Cypress followed at second overall, while Lake Tahoe was edged for third overall.
