After escaping a close and hard fought 79-73 battle against Imperial Valley College on Wednesday, the Mesa men’s basketball team hosted Cuyamaca College, and with solid defense, overpowered the Coyotes 72-52.
After missing the last two games, head coach Travis Nichols returned to the sideline to coach the team to an important 70-54 victory against Cuyamaca College.

The San Diego Mesa College basketball program is proud to announce the following players committing to four-year universities. Jamaal Wright will sign with Benedictine University in Mesa, Arizona. William Bailey with Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky and Emanwel Henry with Glenville State in West Virginia.
San Diego, CA – On Friday night, the Olympians faced #6 San Diego City College. The Olympians trailed going into the 2nd half (34-24) but came back strong in the 2nd half scoring 40 points. However, the Olympians still fell short, losing 74-64.
Santa Ana, CA – Men’s Basketball competed in their first game in over 620 days. On November 1st, the Olympians traveled to Santa Ana where they faced the Dons. The Olympians had control of the whole game putting up 38 points in the 1st quarter and 46 points in the 2nd quarter. The Olympians ended up beating the Dons 84-55.
Next up, the Olympians travel to Chaffey College. Game starts at 7pm.
