ANNOUNCEMENT:
The women’s cross country team closed out another solid season with a third-place finish at 3C2A Cross Country State Championships held in Fresno, California, coming in behind Mt. San Antonio College in first place and Orange Coast College in second.
The Olympians total time of 1:36.12, averaging 19:15, set a new school record, beating a mark that had stood since 1994.
Freshman Jazzlyn Islas placed second overall with a time of 17:51, setting a new Mesa College cross country record. Similar to the conference championships, which was held at Harry Griffen Park, Natalie Allen followed right behind with a time of 18:08.4, which ranks fourth all time for the program.
