Women's volleyball ranked #2 in the state, #1 in the South Region

The women’s volleyball team continue to dominate by defeating #5 ranked Irvine Valley College (25-16, 19-25, 25-21, 25-23), #6 ranked Ventura College (22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 26-24), and #11 ranked Cypress College (25-17, 25-11, 25-21), three teams that were previously undefeated. With their unblemished week, the Olympians jump five spots and now is now ranked #2 in the state and #1 in the South Region. 

Led by sophomore Kailyn Jager, who earned state player of the week by CCCWVCA, Jager scored 21 kills with 17 digs in Irvine, then hit .474 with 11 kills while serving six aces in the triumph over Cypress. Jager had a .301 hitting percentage for the week, totaling 38 digs, 13 blocks (eight solo) and nine aces.

 “We are excited about the success we’ve had up to this point,” states head coach Bobbie Jo Stall-Vest. “We have to continue to be diligent in our process and know that we still have a lot to work on. Today’s match against Moorpark College will be a good test.”
