San Diego Mesa College names sophomore women’s volleyball player, Lizzie Wilson, Female Athlete of the Year. Coach Bobbie Jo Stall said, “Lizzie is one of the most dominant players to have ever come through Mesa.” Coach Stall continued, “she was also our captain, a great leader and teammate through the season. A player of great sportsmanship and a pleasure to coach.”
In Wilson’s 2019 season, she was named PCAC MVP, Team MVP, 1st Team All-Region and All-State, and AVCA Athlete of the Week. Wilson had 490 kills, which is best in conference, second amongst all players on the state, and second most all-time at Mesa.
Wilson has committed to Chico State University where she will continue her education and volleyball career.
