San Diego Mesa College sophomore Raven Casas has been named the 2018 PCAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year. Along with the announcement, the PCAC also released its 2018 All-Conference honorees.
Casas, one of the most explosive players that’s ever put on a Mesa jersey led the team with 484 kills and finished 3rd on the team with 234 digs. Casas also had a 4.52 kills per set which ranked her #4 in the state and #1 in the state with a total of 484.
“This award reflects the small part I played in the teams success this season,” states Casas. “All the points scored are a result of a teammate’s effort before mine, and for that I am thankful. This award is a reflection of the gratitude I carry every day for the opportunity Mesa has presented me with.”
Joining Casas on the 2018 PCAC All-Conference First Team are Zoe Tippets and Rachel Wilkocz.
Second team members are Ally Ferguson, Jalesa Poindexter, and Amanda Nguyen.
