Track and Field shine at Mark Conover Classic

The men's and women's track and field teams once again delivered a solid performance at the third annual Mark Conover Classic, held at the Miller and Capriotti Athletics Complex at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The Olympians secured three first-place finishes along with numerous State A qualifying marks.

Freshman sprinter Ryan Mann, was able to reach U20 National Qualifying mark in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.48 seconds. He

also posted a State A time of 21.40 seconds in the 200-meter dash, which is #5 in the state.

Josh Schindler also ran well in the 100 meter with 10.60, a State A mark and ranking #5 in the state and #10 all-time in program history.

Ian Rosen in the 1500-meter run finished with a time of 3:58.06, earning a State A mark and ranking #3 in the state.

Manny Cerda and Lucas Scott both had solid days on the javelin. Scott claimed first place, throwing an impressive 60.72 meters (197'9"). Cerda achieved a State A mark with a throw of 49.42 meters (162'2"), placing him #6 in the state.

Micah Dobson also captured first place in the triple jump, clearing 14.03 meters (46'0.5").

The women’s team also had a successful showing.  Ashley Nash sprinted the 100-meter dash in 12.10 seconds, achieving a State A mark, ranking #3 in the state, and #6 all-time in the program's record book.

Skyler Simpson cleared 10.79 meters (35'5") in the triple jump, earning a State A mark and ranking #6 in the state.

Alexis Noble finished the 1500-meter run in 4:45.87, ranking #4 in the state and #3 all-time in program history.

Kate Touchet secured first place in the 3000-meter run with a top time of 10:45.33.
