Mesa Women's Track Excels at Mangrum and Arizona Invitationals

With the season well underway, the San Diego Mesa College women’s track and field team showcased their talents at the Mangrum Invitational in San Marcos, California, and the Willie Williams Classic at the University of Arizona. 

Sidney Garcia once again dominated her field with a 2:16.93 in the 800 meter, which is #5 all-time, #1 in the state. In the 1500 meter, she finished with a 4:52.49, #10 all-time, and #7 in the state. Both are State A marks. 

With conference championships around the corner, the Olympians appear primed for more success. A strategic plan the coaching staff sets in place yearly.  Led by standout veterans and hungry newcomers alike, this squad has proven its talent and determination time and again. Expect big things from this team as the 2024 campaign winds down.
