PCAC honorable mention AOTW

Samantha Schmidt, a freshman from University City High School, helped lead Mesa to the Chaffey Invitational championship. She won the 200 IM in 2:15.80 and was part of three first-place relay teams (200, 400 and 800 freestyle). Schmidt also placed third in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:14.07 time and in the 100 freestyle (56.62). Her performance was a big key as the Olympians scored 745 points to outdistance runner-up Riverside City College (707 points) for the team title.
