Women's Soccer Set for SoCal Regional Playoff Rematch Against Citrus College

The San Diego Mesa College women's soccer team, seeded #23 in the 3C2A SoCal Regionals, will travel to face the Citrus College Owls in a first-round matchup on Wednesday, November 20. Match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.

The Olympians finished the regular season with a 12-9 overall record and an 11-5 conference record, securing fourth place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

The Olympians as a team rank fourth in the conference, scoring 71 times in 21 games. They average of 3.38 goals per game, supported by a 4.3 shots-per-game average.

Leading the charge will be sophomore Paradyse Wong, who has 17 goals and 5 assists for a total of 39 points. Sinthia Irianda and Madilyn Grace Mayo have also been key contributors on offense, each netting 9 goals and providing 4 and 5 assists.  .

Citrus College enters the playoffs on a three-game winning streak, finishing with a 14-3-2 overall record and a 10-3-1 record in the Western State Conference. The Owls finished third in their conference, behind Santa Monica College and College of the Canyons.

This playoff match marks the second meeting between the two teams this season. In their earlier encounter on September 6, Citrus College edged out the Olympians with a 2-1 victory.
