Sophomores Niki Madgedi, Emma Fitzgerald, and freshman Gwen Morris- Lundstrom have been named on the 2022-23 Pacific Coast Athletic All-Conference Team.  All-conference members are voted on by all men’s basketball coaches in the conference.

First-Team All Conference Gwen Morris-Lundstrom led the Olympians with 10.3 points per game. Morris-Lundstrom also led the team with 6 rebounds per game, 2.7 steals per game, and 2.1 assists per game.

WHAT SAMANIEGO SAYS:
Gwen has elevated her game both offensively and defensively in such a short amount of time. Last season she was second team all-conference and set a goal for herself to become a first team all-conference selection. We are beyond proud of her for achieving her goal. She consistently brought defensive energy to our games and set the tone for our press.

First-Team All-Conference sophomore Niki Madgedi averaged 9.7 points per game 4.3 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game, and 1.4 steals per game.

WHAT SAMANIEGO SAYS:
Niki is an extension of the coaching staff on the floor. She has a great basketball IQ which is in part why she has excelled. We looked at her a lot to provide scoring and leadership. We are proud of Niki for earning back to back first team all-conference selection.

Second-Team All-Conference Emma Fitzgerald averaged 6.8 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, and 2.0 steals per game.

WHAT SAMANIEGO SAYS:
Emma is a two time all-conference honoree. She brought her best effort to every drill and every minute of every game. She was a great leader verbally and always led by example. Her teammates look up to her and we are very proud of all she accomplished in her time here at Mesa.
