San Diego Mesa Women’s Badminton is very honored to have Coach Thai Lay as part of the program. “Coach Thai” brings over 25 years of playing and coaching experience. A graduate of Madison High School in 1998 where he had a stellar playing career, he went on to coach the Warhawks from 2004-2008. He is currently the Patrick Henry High School coach, having outstanding success, winning the last 3 out of 4 CIF championships.  

Coach Thai organizes many tournaments for the Balboa Park Activity Center, as well as runs youth camps and summer training opportunities for kids. He gives individual lessons at SMASH Badminton Club in Mira Mesa as well.  

Coach Thai Lay’s passion and knowledge of the sport have truly brought the program to a whole new, winning, level. We are so lucky to have him.
