The Arnie Robinson Invitational has concluded and like clockwork, both the San Diego Mesa men’s and women’s track and field had performances that continue to rewrite the Olympian track and field record books.
On the men’s side, sophomore Lucas Scott not only set a school record with a javelin throw of 63.45m 208’2, but his throw also registers at top in the state.
Ronald Way in the 10000m crossed the finish line at 31:08.81 State A #1 in state #7 All Time.
The men’s 4x100m relay with members Josh Schindler, Ryan Mann, Marcel Acosta, Austin Snook turned in a time of 40.97 which is #1in the state and #6 All Time .
Ke’Sean Goodson and Evan Munoz both made State A marks. Goodson in the triple jump with a 13.91m 45’7.75. Munoz in the 110 hurdles popped a 15.21.
Ian Rosen in the 1500 meter turned in a time of 3:58.93, finishing in first place and he also finished in first in the 800 meter with a 1:54.59.
Lucci Roberts ran a 14:55.59 in the 5000 meter, which is currently #4 in the state.
On the women’s side, both the 4x100 and 4x400 teams placed first. In the 4x100, which consists of Jazmyne Binion, Abrielle Hagans, Abby Lamirande, Amorianna Leviett, finished with a 48.28
The 4x400 team of Amorianna Leviett, Joelle Tonne, Bianca Calafato, Shayla Harris, captured the top of the podium with a 4:00.01.
Bianca Calafato in the 400 meter, finished with a 58.36, and A Standard.
Joelle Tonne finished in first place in two events. In the 1500 meter, she finished with a 4:49.90 and in the 800 meter, 2:18.93.
In the 3000 meter steeplechase, Isabelle Moret got first-place, State A, and #7 all-time with a time of 12:22.43.
Alexis Noble, Ani Pabelico, and Skyler Simpson all finished in first place in their events. Noble in the 5000 meter with a time of 17:57.64. Pabelico in the shotput 10.80 meters 36’5.25. Skyler Simpson in the triple jump with a 10.24 meter 33’7.25.
Kate Touchet and Jaidyn Mckenzie both performed well in the 5000 meter. Touchet with a 18:09
