Results: Men's Track & Field at the Ron Kamaka Invitational

Both the San Diego Mesa College men's and women's track and field teams participated in the annual Ron Kamaka Invitational at Hilmer Lodge Stadium, Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California.

The event honors Coach Ron Kamaka, the longtime Mt. San Antonio College men's cross country/track and field head coach. He led the Mounties to five CCCAA State Championships and earned numerous awards, including SCC All-Sports Coach of the Year (three times) and Men's Track & Field State Coach of the Year. Coach Kamaka passed away on March 6, 2022, following a battle with COVID-19.

The coaching staff was pleased with both teams' overall performance at the meet. Head coach Sean Ricketts says, 'they both competed, and the results we produced this weekend will set the tone for an excellent season." Ricketts also praised the execution of both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams.
