
The San Diego Mesa College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams impressed at the 76th Annual California State Community College Championships, held at San Rosa Junior College.
Both teams captured top honors among the five competing San Diego schools, outperforming Grossmont College, Miramar College, Palomar College, and Southwestern College.
Sydney Fortune led the charge for the Olympians. The 6’1 sophomore from Patrick Henry High School placed second in the 200 breastroke, third in both the 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley events.
Dylan McQuade, the 6’5 sophomore from La Jolla High School, emerged as the teams top point scorer, placing second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.
