Steve Pryor enters his 3 rd season as infield coach and mentor for Coach Portugal and San Diego Mesa’s
2025 campaign.

Coach Pryor has an extensive coaching background that includes over 20 years of experience with a
majority of that time coming with the legendary San Diego Stars travel team and at Mission Bay High
School alongside Hall of Fame Coach, Dennis Pugh.

Steve’s son, Jay, is a professional infield coach who previously spent 2 years with the Atlanta Braves
organization as an infield instructor under the guidance of MLB legend, Ron Washington. Jay is currently
the owner/founder of Pryor Development, one of the most premiere infield specialists in the world.
