Women's Beach Ready to Battle at Pairs Championships

The women's beach volleyball team, having already secured the conference title, is now gearing up for the fiercely competitive PCAC Pairs Championships. This high-stakes tournament, set to begin on Wednesday at Mt. San Jacinto College, will showcase the best pairs in the conference, setting the stage for the year-end Pairs State Championships on May 10.

Myah Gomez and Kailyn Jager, the proud recipients of the PCAC Duo of the Year award and the top-seeded team in the tournament, will make their debut on Friday, alongside the formidable Emily Eltrich and Tori Goff, who enter the tournament as the #4 seed.  

Ami Lagrimas and Mia Wettergren, the #13 seed, will be await the outcome of the match between Gajda / Vincelli (representing Mt. San Jacinto College) and Banaag / Lozano (from Grossmont College).

#19 seed Maria Coronado and Olivia Ostler will face Lloyd / Vecchia from San Diego City College.

#22 seed Madison Daniels and Jaiden Mojica are scheduled to take on Lundine / Bigelow out of MiraCosta College.

Notes:
Kim Lester has been named PCAC Coach of the Year for the third consecutive year, guiding the beach volleyball team toward another conference title. Before her tenure with the beach volleyball team, Lester coached the women's volleyball team, having been awarded coach of the year honors in 2006, 2007, and 2013. Her contributions to the athletic community were recognized in 2004, when she was awarded the PCAC All Sports Coach of the Year award. 

In addition, we would like to extend our congratulations to Emily Eltrich/Tori Goff, Ami Lagrimas/Mia Wettergren, Olivia Ostler/Maria Coronado, and Madison Daniels/Jaiden Mojica, who have all been named on the PCAC All-Conference Team.
