The San Diego Mesa College men's track and field team continues to make history by winning their fifth consecutive Pacific Coast Athletic Conference title. The streak started in 2018 and continued through 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024, with 2020- 2021 being canceled due to COVID-19.

The two-day event not only honors the legendary Olympic gold medalist, but also serves as a preview for the upcoming PCAC Preliminaries on April 19 and the CCCAA SoCal Regionals on Friday, May 5 which will be held at Mesa College.

Despite the challenges of wind, rain, and snow, the San Diego Mesa College track and field team traveled to participate in the annual Ron Kamaka Multis at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. The event is in honor of Mt. SAC men’s cross country and track and field coach Ron Kamaka who passed away last year from complications of COVID-19.
The San Diego Mesa College men’s and women’s track and field program had a strong start to the 2023 season on Friday at the Riverside City College Early Bird Invitational. Held at Wheelock Stadium in Riverside, the Tigers edged the Olympians by six points (236 overall points) to take the podium
