Olympians shine at the inaugural Conover Classic

The San Diego Mesa men’s and women’s track and field team travelled to San Luis Obispo to participate in the inaugural Conover Classic. The event is in honor of the late Mark Conover, who passed away in 2022 after battling an aggressive form of skin cancer. Connover served as Cal Poly’s Director of Track and Field and Cross Country for 13 years and was involved with the Mustangs athletic department for 25 years.

Both teams will be competing at the annual Arnie Robinson Invite, which will be held at SD Mesa College on Friday, March 31 through Saturday, April 1. At the conclusion of the Arnie Robinson Invitational, the squad will travel to Saddleback College to compete at the CCCAA SoCal Regional Multi-Event Championships.
