Goalie Madi Atkins (pictured) recorded 13 saves and held conference rival Grossmont without a goal for almost 3 quarters as Mesa won soundly to open Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play. Mesa had a 7-0 lead before yielding a goal with 2:45 left in the third quarter. Offensively Mesa was paced by 2 goals each from sophomore Ellie Williams and freshmen Analise Voytilla and Lilli Lindgard.  Sophomores Abby Johnson and Jaicey Tyler contributed one goal each.
