Men’s and women’s track and field perform well at RCC Invitational

Men’s and women’s track and field perform well  at RCC Invitational

Both the men’s and women’s track and field teams were in action this past weekend competing at the Riverside Community College Invitational.

For the women’s team, the performance of the day belonged to Kais Kimuli. The throw specialist shot put a 13.88m 45’6.5 State A, #1 in the state, and #5 all time. On the hammer throw she turned in a 45.28m 148’6, State A, #2 in the state and #3 all time.

- Cemara Collins Shot Put 12.12m 39'9.25 State A, #5 State

- Alexis Noble 1500m 4:54.01 State A, #7 State

- Kaylee Tan Pole Vault 3.40m 11'1.75 State A, #4 State

- Kaitlyn Lau Pole Vault 2.95m 9'8 State A

- Women's 4x400m Relay Team (Sidney Garcia, Shayla Harris, Trinity Walger, AmoriannaLeviett)  4:07.06 State A

On the men’s team, Lamar Smith clocked in a 10.52 in the 100m State A, and #2 in the state. Smith was edged by Marcellus Linton of Riverside Community College by .02. Smith also led the 4x100 meter relay with a 41.91 State A, and #2 in the state. He was joined by C Jackson, E Lerner, and A Mills.
