San Diego Mesa College upset No. 8 Palomar College last week and freshman Alethze (AJ) Marquez helped the Olympians pull it off.

She had a season-high 24 points in 25 minutes as she went 10-15 in the field and 4-8 at the free throw line. She responded on Friday with 16 points against Southwestern College. Against the Comets she racked up 13 rebounds, eight of those offensive and totaled one assist. On Friday night, she finished with 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
