The San Diego Mesa College softball team will travel to Fullerton College on Friday to take on the Hornets.

The season is early and the coaching is confident that the team will start to turn things around. “As a coaching staff we always go over mechanics and watch film to find ways to improve,” states head coach Jaclyn Guidi. “We can't change the past; we can only strengthen it.  We work on our next opponent and work harder each day to see the improvement.” 

Sophomore Arianna Isaguirre is throwing well and has shown her tenacity. In 3 appearances she has 3 saves, 1 win, and 8 strikeouts. Arianna Salazar is currently batting .333 with 2 home runs and 8 RBI’s. Carissa Topolinski has played tremendous having already caught 37 innings behind the plate. 

The camaraderie of this team is its strength. The hits will come and alongside that the victories.
