The annual SD Mesa Blue vs. White Instraquad recently concluded signaling the official start of the track and field season. The Blue vs. White event focuses on team bonding and chemistry between the athletes and coaching staff.
Teams are separated through a coaches draft, followed by assigning team captains for the teams.
The Blue Team dominated the event winning 132-90. This event normally provides a brief glimpse into the upcoming season. There were a total of 14 meet records set between the men and women, including freshman Kais Kimuli setting four meet records in throws.
With all the talent surrounding the program, this team is ready to compete and is eager to compete at the Riverside City College Early Bird Invitational on Saturday, February 10.
