The Olympian beach volleyball team will be sending the following tandems to the Southern California Pairs Regionals on May 5-6:

• Sophia Jarosz and Austia Mendiola 

• Victoria Goff and Maddie Harris 

• Isabelle Bakken and Nicole Eden 

Mesa’s 1’s of Jarosz and Mendiola, who placed 2nd in the conference pairs championships will open the tournament in match number 3 against Orange Coast College #28 seed pair of Izzy Duchaine and Theresia Amtmann.  

In match number ten, the #14 seed pair of Bakken and Eden, who finished 3rd last week will face the #19 seed Larissa Dakoske and Hailey Walton of Moorpark College. 

And lastly, in match number fifteen, the 4th place conference finisher tandem of Goff and Harris will square up against #15 seed Jacelin McKie and Karoline Ruiz. Mckie and Ruiz played 2’s for Santa Barbara City College and also placed 4th in the Western State Conference pairs tournament.

The double elimination tournament, held at El Camino College, will feature the top pairs in Southern California, and should they advance, will compete at the 3C2A State Pairs Championships in West Valley College on May 12-13. 

State Playoffs Ticket Prices are as follows: General Admission is $12. Faculty, Staff, Children Under 12, Adults 60+ & Students w/ Valid A.S. card are $8.
