Beach Volleyball Season Has Come to a Close

San Diego, CA - After a fantastic run for the state championship, Mesa beach volleyball sesaon has come to a close. After winning a very competitive southern region, Mesa advanced as a team to the state championship round for the first time since the beach program offically began in 2015 at Mesa. Mesa ended up finishing Top 6th in the state! 

Sophia Jarosz and Austia Mendiola, Mesa pairs, advanced to the individual pairs championship. The field started with 32 teams, Jarosz and Mendiola dominated pool play on Day 1, beating El Camino 1's (21-19, 20-22, 15-10), Feather River 2's (21-15 and 26-24) and Santa Barbara (21-17 and 22-20). Win those three wins under thier belt, Jarosz and Mendiola moved onto Day 2. However, they lost to a very solid Monterey Peninsula 1's team. 

Overall, Mesa finished the season as Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Champs, 4th in the Sountern Region, and 6th in the CCCAA.
