Espinoza Earns Player of the Year

Sophomore center Imperia Espinoza was honored as the 2018 PCAC Women's Water Polo Player of the Year.

Espinoza lead the Olympians with 103 goals and 81 steals, which ranked her #3 in the state in both categories. She also distributed 31 assists which tied her on the team for second.

"Imperia was an absolute all-star! She scored at least one goal in all 28 games," states head coach Emma Sasson. "She is an extremely creative player that is also well disciplined. Her leadership in and out of the pool is something that you can't coach, we are extremely lucky to have her as part of our team here at Mesa."

Joining Espinoza on the first team are Sydney Fortune, Carly Lupien, Shyla Toledo, and Ashley Greeven. Named on the second team are Mia Lauer and Katrin Gaines.
