SD Mesa Women's Volleyball Ranked 20th in State

The California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association published its 2017 rankings, setting SD Mesa at the #20 team in the state. SD Mesa is 1 of 3 colleges in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) to rank top 25, with Grossmont at #6 and San Diego City at #24.

The Olympian women held huge succes at the 32nd annual SD Mesa Inviational, September 8-9th. SD Mesa crushed Mt. San Antonio College (25-15, 25-15, 25-15) and followed with another win versus Moorpark College (24-26, 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11). Facing Grossmont in the final match, the Olympains battled to place 2nd in its house tournament (25-23, 25-12, 25-11). Go Olympians!

Alongside Coach Stall and Stucke, Head Coach Kim Lester keeps pushing her team, "We are here to compete, and to fulfill the girls' potential. I challenge these women to be the best version of themselves on the court."

The Olympian volleyball women currently hold a 5-6 record, with wins over Porterville (3-0), Cerro Coso (3-0), LA Mission (3-2), Mt San Antonio (3-0) and Moorpark Colleges (3-2). The Olympians are scheduled to play Rio Hondo at home Wednesday, September 20th at 5:00 p.m.
