The San Diego Mesa College Women's Track and Field Team opened up their season at the Riverside Invite at Riverside CC on Friday, February 9.  Even though the meet was a low key early-season competition, Mesa went up against some of the top Track and Field programs in the State (Riverside, Cerritos, and Glendale).   

Leading the way for Mesa was Dani Johnson's pair of 1st place finishes in the 60m Hurdles (9.03) and 300m Run (41.13).  Micaela Ecija won the Javelin with a throw of 31.79m.

The Track and Field team now heads into a three-week training block before competing at the Cal State LA Invite on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3.
