Nick Szyndlar is a San Diego native who grew up enjoying the spenders of Southern California and it’s vast adventures. Coach Szyndlar played 4 years of Varsity Tennis at Canyon Crest Academy as well as participated in USTA Open & National Tournaments. The Barnes Tennis Academy was Coach Szyndlar’s home court during his development as a junior tennis player and he had the pleasure of growing as a player in the Elite Academy program.
Upon graduating high school Szyndlar continued his education and athletic career as a member of the Men’s Tennis team at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. During his time as Westmont, Szyndlar made four NAIA National Championship appearances during his career at Westmont College (2 time Quarter-finalist, 1 time Semifinalist). During his summers (2010-2014) Szyndlar traveled back to Poland to train at the SKT (Home of the Orange PROKOM Open) and competed and trained with some of Poland’s best players.
Szyndlar decided to continue his education and received a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition with an emphasis on sports performance from Sacred Heart University, Fairfield Connecticut, where he also became the Division I Assistant Tennis Coach for the men’s and women's tennis team (2015). During his time in Connecticut he also worked as a tennis coach at Intensity Tennis Academy with some of highest ranked national and international players in the sport of tennis. During Szyndlar’s second year in Connecticut he was named the Division I Assistant Tennis Coach at Fairfield University (2016) where he also had the pleasure of being an intern as a Strength & Conditioning Coach with all of Fairfield’s college teams.
Coach Szyndlar has also had other assistant strength and conditioning positions at San Diego State University and Sacred Heart University. Coach Szyndlar possesses his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification as well as his USAW (Sports Performance Coach) certification and his USPTA (U.S. Professional Tennis Association) certification.
