Marc Pinckney is the Head Coach for the women's tennis team, in addition to being an adjunct faculty member at San Diego Mesa College. He started with SD Mesa's tennis programs in 2013. Coach Pinckney is a long time San Diego professional.
Coach Pinckney holds a B.A. in political science from Boston College, where he minored in american literature. His M.A. in counseling psychology is with University of Minnesota. Additional, Coach Pinckney holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law.
Coach Pinckney was Pacific Coast Atheltice Conference Coach of the Year for women's tennis.
Coach Pinckney teaches tennis lessons and conducts private fitness workouts at the University City Racquet Club and World Gym in Pacific Beach. He is known for his fitness training work with WTA tour players and with ranked San Diego junior tennis players. Marc also does fitness work with a number of elite triathletes and college athletes.
When not working with tennis players or athletes, Coach Pinckney enjoys reading and writing weekly blogs, short stories, song lyrics and long essays. He also enjoys working out, and practicing tennis with friends in preparation for summer tournament outings.
