Conference Champions - Women's Soccer

For the 5th consecutive year, the San Diego Mesa College Women's Soccer team has won the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference South Division Championship.

The Olympian women sealed the championship last Friday night in a home match versus Imperial Valley College, with the first goal being scored by sophomore Nicole Arce in the first 5 minutes of the game. The game's final score was 9-0, with goals from 9 different players including Alahna Perez, Jaquelyn Neves, Natasha Camacho-Bier, Ana Sofia Salas, Madison Cosgrove, Alyssa Chavez, Analisa Cass and Marissa Stafford, and assists by 8 different players.

This year's team went 8-1-1 in conference play, giving up only two goals through conference play and scoring an astounding 49 goals in 10 games. The women's soccer team finished the regular season with a record of 14-4-2 overall.

The team has secured its 17th berth in the past 20 years in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. Pairing to be announced Tuesday, November 14th.
