2 School Records Broken, 1 Smashed, 5 Events won at Mt. SAC Invite

San Diego Mesa's Neil Franka, a freshman from University City, broke 3 school records in 4 individual swim events over the weekend at the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational February 20-21. All of his times posted were state bests so far this season, and he was also .07 seconds off the 100 Fly school record with a time of 50.36. He recorded school records and first place finishes in the 200 IM (1:56.12), 200 Backstroke (1:51.95)--breaking a record set in 1993 by almost 3 seconds, and 100 Free (46.52).

Chon Pong Lao won the 100 Breast in 59.64, had a second place finish in the 50 breast, and 3rd in the 200 Breast. Juan Robles finished 3rd in the 50 and 100 back and 2nd in the 200 Back to Franka giving mesa a 1-2 finish.
