Neil Franka, a freshman from University City High School, was the overall champion of the swim and dive season's kickoff meet, the Waterman Festival Pentathlon on Friday, February 6th, 2015. His combined time of 2:33.41 was a whopping 5.29 seconds ahead of the next competitor in the 5 event sprint format, which included 85 competitors. He finished first in the 50 Fly (23.58), 50 Back (25.22), and 100 IM (53.84) events.
Chon Pong Lao was second in the 50 Breaststroke (28.21) and finished 16th overall.
Diver Jake Roth also captured the diving crown in the Waterman Dive event, which allows 6 optional dives on a combination of 1 meter and 3 meter dives.
