Mesa faced Fullerton College in the opening round of the Fullerton Tournament. Mesa was lead by Darreon Tolliver with 19 points and 10 rebounds followed by Novian Cherry with 15 points and held off the Hornets 75-71. In the second round Mesa faced Palomar College and came back to go into overtime with the Comets. Novian Cherry had 32 points and Darreon Tolliver added 10 points and 15 rebounds. In the tournament finals the Olympians fell short 47-69 against highly ranked Saddleback College. Cherry had 13 points and Tolliver had 8 points and 11 rebounds in the championship game. Pictured above is Darreon Tolliver who along with Novian Cherry were named to the All-Tournament Team.
