Mesa's McWilliam Drafted by the Detriot Tigers

Mesa Baseball standout Andrew McWilliam got his ticket punched yesterday to the Majors.  McWilliam, a sophomore from Westview High School, was drafted yesterday by the Detriot Tigers in the 34th round of the annual MLB Draft following his 2015 season with Mesa.

The starting right fielder lead the Olympians in almost every offensive catagory including batting average with a .371, hits (49), RBI's (35), doubles (8), triples (6), and homeruns (2.)  Defensively, he only had one error in 76 opportunities for a .987 fielding percentage.  The statistics of McWilliam are a clear indication of why the 6'5" right hander was selected as 1st Team All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, All State Team, and named 2nd Team All Pacific Association Division.
