MESA WINS 2012 PCAC CHAMPIONSHIP

The Olympians finished the season in a three-way tie for first with a record of 15-10 in conference play. Mesa tied with Southwestern and Palomar for the championship, and became the second seed due to the tiebreaking rules the conference has set. This will be Mesa's second consecutive trip to the playoffs. The Olympians have been seeded #12, and will travel to #5 Glendale Saturday and Sunday for a best-of-three series.

Stengel Field is directly across the street from Glendale College, 1500 N. Verdugo Rd, and the best access for your fans is to enter Verdugo Park on Canada Blvd. and take the road past the large parking area until you see the small lot adjacent to the field for drop off or parking. The field can easily be reached from either the 2 Freeway, exit Mountain Street, or the 134 Freeway, exit Glendale Ave.

The California Community College Athletic Association Regional Playoffs take place this weekend with the Glendale College Vaqueros hosting San Diego Mesa College . Game times for the best two-out-of-three series are at 1 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday with a third game to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game Sunday if necessary. Glendale is 25-10 on the season and is seeded No. 5 in the playoffs and San Diego is 20-15 and is seeded No. 12. Ticket prices mandated by the state are $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 & under.
