The SD Mesa College beach volleyball team opened its 2018 season with a split in a pair of matches at the Olympus Beach Courts at Mesa Friday. The Olympians (1-1) defeated SDSU Club 5-0 in the opener before falling  1-4 to Long Beach City College. The Olympian's No. 4 team of Lizette Moore-Teague and Kylie Cassicioppo had the biggest win of the day in a 3 set victory over Long Beach 12-21, 21-17, 17-15. The pair  were the only duo from the Olympians to finish 2-0 on the day. 

Mesa next hosts Cypress, Mt San Antonio and Victory Valley on Feb. 23. The tournament is slated to begin at 10:00am at Olympus Beach.
