Tim Fischer, M.S., A.T.C., Certified Athletic Trainer

Tim Fischer has been a Certified Athletic Trainer at SD Mesa College since 2012. He is a former Mesa College student and graduate of San Diego State University.

Fischer has a BS in Kinesiology - Emphasis in Athletic Training from San Diego State University, and a MS in Kinesiology - Emphasis in Movement Science from San Francisco State University.

Fischer is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), Far West Athletic Trainers' Association (FWATA), California Athletic Trainers' Association (CATA), and the California Community Colleges Athletic Training Association (CCCATA). He serves as a Preceptor for the Undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program at SDSU.

Fischer has a passion for Sports Medicine, loves educating new students in the Athletic Training profession and thrives on returning athletes back to competition after injury as quickly and as safely as possible.

Tim is married and lives in Carlsbad, CA. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, camping, backpacking, playing recreational sports like surfing.
