Following the most successful season in San Diego Mesa College women’s volleyball history, coach Bobbie Jo Stall-Vest has been named PCAC All Sports Coach of the Year.
The Olympians concluded the season with an outstanding overall record of 29-2 and captured the state title by defeating the defending state champion, Feather River College, in straight sets of 25-18, 25-23, 25-17.
The final CCCWVCA State Top 25 Rankings finds a new #1 in state champion San Diego Mesa, a team that swept all three 3C2A tourney foes and accomplished the program's first-ever state championship.
UPDATE: Mesa defeats American River 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-22). Jager leads Mesa with 19 kills, Ostler with 12. Mesa will face PCAC foe Grossmont College in the semifinals tomorrow.

The SD Mesa College women’s volleyball team secured its fifth consecutive win to start the season with a four-set victory (16-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-16) over Santa Barbara City College on Saturday, September 2.
