Women's volleyball sweeps Southwestern College, wins 6th in a row

The San Diego Mesa College women's volleyball team continue their incredible play with another 3-0 victory (25-16, 25-6, 25-12) against Southwestern College.

This marks the 6th win in a row for the Olympians who are now 3-0 against conference opponents.  Mesa improves to a 10-9 overall record. 

"We are excited to get the sweep and be ranked at the top of our conference,” states head coach Bobbie Jo Stall. "We need to continue strengthening our defensive core so that our offense can go to work. We are pleased with our progress and the confidence we are playing with."

Sophomores Raven Casas led the team with 15 kills. Hannah Chapman added 7 kills and no errors. Freshman Rachel Wilcocz (San Pasqual HS) contributed with 5 aces and 26 assists. 

After two games on the road, the Olympians are back home on Thursday, October 11 against Imperial Valley College at 1:30 p.m.
