The Arnie Robinson Invite hosted by SD Mesa was a smooth and successful event for the College Open and High School sessions which saw records broken.  The College Open competition included athletes from Team Brazil and Qatar along with Elite unattached athletes and schools such as Mt. Sac, Cerritos, Pasadena City College, Santa Ana City College, Palomar, Saddleback, East LA and Southwestern.

By the time the dust settled, the Arnie Robinson Invite produced some top performances in the world and new stadium records in the following events:

Women's Long Jump - Eliane Martine 22'1 #2 in the World 2019 and Stadium Record

Women's Discus - Fernanda Raquel BORGES MARTINS 199'1 #3 in the World 2019

Men's 800m - Abubaker Haydar ABDALLA   1:45.60 #3 in the World 2019 and Stadium Record

Women's High Jump -  CHARI HAWKINS 5'8.75 Stadium Record

"Our athletes not only had the opportunity to compete against or watch elite competition, but they also performed on our home Mondo Track and Field Facility.  The team is progressing and demonstrating that they are going to be ready for the Championship phase of the season" states Coach Ricketts.
