Olympians increase lead in PCAC, blanks Southwestern College

The San Diego Mesa women's soccer team continue their domination in the PCAC with a dominating 3-0 win against Southwestern College. 

From the start of the game, Mesa was controlling the flow of the game having several scoring opportunities. It wasn't until the 16th minute when the Olympians finally broke through on a deft chip from Eyannah Saez to a streaking Kenya Dantu giving the Olympians a 1-0 lead. 

Dantu attacked the space and was one on one with the goalkeeper and calmly finished her opportunity

The second goal of the game came off a great cross from the right side as Kaitlyn Clapinski found space and beat her mark, sending a diagonal ball through the traffic which Nikki Miranda slotted home for the 2-0 advantage. 

Southwestern worked hard all game but in the 75th minute, Elena Jaramillo quickly turned in the box and rifled a great cross to the on running Ari Ravelo for the third and final game of the night.

Alyssa Warner continues her great play in goal. Alyssa remains #2 in the state in save percentage:

The Olympians are ranked #7 in the state and #10 in the nation. With a big test vs. 2nd place at Grossmont on Friday, the Olympians hope to continue their undefeated winning streak.
