Tell us about our record and what it tell us about our team?
We are currently 3-2-2. We felt like the ties could have been wins. Our 2-0 loss to Southwestern was the most disappointing as we felt like we didn’t match their energy in the second half. We went into Grossmont last Friday and picked up a quality win vs. a good team that I suspect will have some better results as the season goes on.

What has been the biggest challenge for the team this year?
The season has been tough on the injury front. We’ve been dealing with concussions, separated shoulders, pulled quadriceps, and hamstring injuries. We have not had all of our starters on the field together at all during the season.

What’s next up for the team and how do we become more successful?
We have 3 out of our next 4 games at home and we hope to go on a little winning streak. We need to gain some confidence and also execute the attacking principles that we have been working on.

Being a 1/3 into our schedule, how do you think we’ll finish off the year? What are the goals for the remainder of the season?
We still hope to win the conference for a record 6th time but will have to play better at Southwestern for us to do that. We feel like if we can get some quality results against some tough teams, especially San Bernardino Valley College, we can set ourselves up for a playoff berth and hopefully a run to the final four.
