Women's basketball looks to snap three game losing streak

The San Diego Mesa women's basketball team will be in action tonight hosting Copper Mountain College.

The Olympians are looking to even their record to 4-4 after two back-to-back losses against Bakersfield College and Merced College at the Santa Ana College Tournament.

Mesa College is led by freshman center Yusra Gharram (Mission Bay HS). Gharram leads the team in points per game (19.4), rebounds per game (12.3), and field goal percentage (43.8).

"We need to play relaxed and play with more confidence," states head coach Dorchella James. "We have had opportunities, but having such a young team, we need to learn how to let the game come to us."

Tip-off is scheduled at 6:00 p.m.
