San Diego Mesa Women’s Basketball invites you to join us for our sophomore night on February 15th at 5:00 pm, as we take on Grossmont for our last home game this season. We are honoring 2 special young ladies who have made a huge impact on this team - two players that you simply cannot replace. Leah Veleker #11 and Asal Pourhedari #32/5 have been with Head Coach Ciara Iglehart since day one of her coaching career at Mesa College. These ladies are coachable, diligent, great students and very talented players. The sky is the limit for both of them. Little do they know, they inspire Coach C to keep pushing and fighting to make the Mesa College program a powerhouse program. We would not have come this far without either of them. Coach Iglehart’s main goal for players coming out her program is to change their mindset to winning in life and just being better people. Come out and support these ladies and help celebrate what an awesome job they have done for these past 2 years. Leah and Asal, Coach C and the coaching staff love you and wish you all the best!
On Wednesday night, we will also be honoring and supporting breast cancer awareness by wearing our pink and black shirts as well as pink uniforms. Join us in this fight amongst everyone who has been affected by this disease! Wearing pink and supporting the cause with us would be greatly appreciated!
