Olympians Sweep LA Missions College

The San Diego Mesa College softball team registered a pair of wins against LA Mission College on Friday afternoon at Mesa College. The Olympians are now 9-1 in the month of March.

Karli Ramsey continues her dominance on the mound shutting out the Eagles 8-0 during the first game. Ramsey pitched a complete game, struck out 6 batters, and only allowed 1 hit.

The second game of the doubleheader also did not fair well for the Eagles. Behind solid hitting, the Olympians defeated the Eagles 9-3.

The Olympians jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning. The bats continued to stay hot as the team scored at least one run during each inning.

Mesa homerun leader freshman Kaleigh Lane (Our Lady of Peace) connected on a pitch bringing her total to 7 home runs for the season. She is followed by Dylana Guyon with 4.

The Olympians will travel on Monday, March 25 to take on Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA. This will be a very important week for the team as they are scheduled to take on three conference opponents. After this week, the PCAC standings should start to clear up.
