San Diego Mesa College finished 5th Place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Championships at Guajome Park on Friday, October 27. Sufi Mansuri made the All-Conference team by placing 12th. The top 15 finishers earn all-conference honors. The team improved it's team time by 4 minutes and 15 seconds from the Palomar Invite (same course) earlier in the season.
Leading the way for Mesa was Sufi Mansuri who finished 12th place in 22:00. The next scorers were Freshman Jose Garcia (17th, 22:16) a 2 min 6 sec improvement from the Palomar Invite (same course), Josh Montgomery (19th, 22:28), Louie LaRose (45th, 24:35), and Chris Valera (48th, 24:59).
The men's team now heads to the Southern California Championships on Friday, November 3 with the goal of qualifying for the state championships.
