Anchored by 16 saves, including 4 one on goalie stuffs, Cameron Wolt and the Olympian defense held Grossmont to 6 goals at Mesa College pool, on their way to an important 11-6 win over the visiting Griffins. Mesa scored first and only trailed once in the third quarter, but was able to tie it up with a Henry Smith goal (La Jolla High/Freshman), and pull ahead off of a last second 3rd quarter effort by Max Perlin on a power play, putting Mesa up 7-6 at the end of 3. Four unanswered goals by Smith, season leading scorer Marco Roy, and two by Dakota Salas Rogalski, combined with a stifling final frame defense, sealed up the commanding win for Mesa.

As Ernie Banks coined, in the "Let's play two" game of the night versus Southwestern, Mesa broke out to an early 8-1 lead and never looked back. The defense appeared to have left at the end of the first game giving up one of the biggest opponent goal totals of the season, but, the offense stayed home to close out a 24-16 win. Freshman Jacques Cahez led all scorers with 7 goals.

Next up for the Olympians is a rematch with PCAC rival at Palomar on 10/19 at 3:30pm. The Olympians improve their conference record to 4-2, 13-7 overall.
