San Diego Mesa College is pleased to announce and recognize sophomores Hugh Anthony and Peter Neill for being named on the 2018 Academic All-State Football Team.
The team is selected by the All-California Community Football Coaches Association.
In the classroom, Peter Neill achieved a 3.67 G.P.A., the highest on the team. Neill, a natural leader was a mainstay on the offensive line. His consistency to stay on the field was a trait that coaches could always count on. Neill will continue his academic and athletic career at Waldorf University.
Hugh Anthony finished 2018 with a 3.65 G.P.A. A fiery competitor with an endless motor, Anthony finished the 2018 season with 49 tackles, 6 sacks, and 2 interceptions.
